Family Day Activity:  Sand Castle Building Contest for Kids
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Kiwanis, the Friends of Bradford Beach official service group sponsor this summer, will be hosting the “back-by-popular-demand” Sand Castle Building Contest. So, bring the kids and let their creative juices fly. No need to stay inside the lines. We’ll supply the tools. The sand is the palette. All you have to do is come to the beach. Official contest times are 1:00 and 2:00.

The age groups will be: 3-5, 6-8, 9-11.

Family Day Activity:  Treasure Hunt for Kids
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Do your kids love to search for hidden treasures? If so, bring 'em to the beach to be in their element. They can take home what they find.

Family Day Activity: Kiwanis Coloring Contest
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Children 11 and under can enter their artistic renderings into the Kiwanis Club of Milwaukee ’s Bradford Beach Family Day Coloring Contest. Visit the Sandcastle Contest table for crayons and entry forms!

Family Day Activity:  Volleyball for Kids
Time: 12:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M.

The first 25 partcipants please come by and develop your serving and bumping skills and pick up a back to school UPS back sack filled with free school supplies!!

Take advantage of private volleyball instruction being provided by experienced players. They’ll be wearing UPS T-shirts.

UPS will also be giving back-to-school items away to everyone who participates.

88Nine Radio Milwaukee knows the power in supporting and promoting local Milwaukee neighborhoods and communities, and we’re excited that they will be giving Friends of Bradford Beach radio spots five days prior to each Family Day, four spots a day, from 6 AM-6 PM.

This month Laacke & Joys will sponsor a prize for our drawing taking place at 3pm. All children who complete their passports will be eligible for the drawing.

Adventure Rock Climbing Wall Presented by UPS

UPS has been absolutely terrific this year in helping Friends of Bradford Beach. This event they are picking up ALL of the costs associated w/ getting the Adventure Rock Climbing Wall down to Bradford Beach. Next time you go to ship something, please remember that UPS help play an important role in your community.

Unlimited climbing for $5 or more donation (each climber) to Friends of Bradford Beach! Get your hand stamped at the Friends of Bradford Beach table at the bottom of the steps.

The Adventure Rock Climbing Wall is 25 feet tall and can accommodate 3 to 4 climbers at one time

Where your adventures begin! If you can climb off you couch, you can climb with us. Adventure Rock has been offering climbing adventures to folks from the Milwaukee area for over 12 years. We specialize helping climbers from the person climbing for the first time to world class climber on the way to ElCap. Whether you are climbing on one

Great Lakes Water Institue will be talking about lake water sampling, testing samples for E. coli, beach signs, and beach modeling.

First, stop by to get your passport of activities for the day. Every child who makes a stop at every activity gets a prize and gets entered into our drawing for a bigger prize sponsored by Laacke & Joys (3pm). You can also find out about other contest giveaways for the day, including Stone Fire Pizza Company's Birthday party Giveaway.

Second, learn a little about the work of Friends of Bradford Beach and consider becoming a member for $10 or more and receive a give away (Whole Foods gift cards, Discovery World membership, and gift cards to Beans & Barley, Honey Pie and Comet Café).

StoneFire Pizza Co. will be hosting a variety of games and events including a few give aways. Be sure to stop by their table. One of those great prizes is a BIRTHDAY PARTY PACKAGE, so please be sure to stop by and notice Stone Fire Pizza's table and get chance to win a variety of different prizes.
