Earth Day was Wednesday, April 22, 2009. It was also Community Support Day at Whole Foods Market on Milwaukee’s East Side, 2305 N. Prospect Ave.

Whole Foods Market raised $2,501 to support Friends of Bradford Beach and our efforts to continuously enhance our beautiful lakefront. Of course, this money would not have been raised had you not shopped there on Earth Day.

Young and old, local residents and visitors visit Bradford Beach to socialize, be inspired, appreciate water as a resource, learn about conservation, celebrate special occasions, experience an outdoor classroom and just sit an enjoy a sunrise.

Our Story

Inspired by a conversation between two colleagues over coffee at Alterra on the Lake in 2004, Friends of Bradford Beach formed to bring people back to our lakefront to create their own memories.
